At Sevagramam Charitable Trust (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we are grateful for the generosity of our supporters and donors. We understand that sometimes mistakes can happen. This Refund and Returns Policy is designed to inform you about our practices regarding donations and refunds.
By making a donation through our website (www.sevagramam.org), you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Donations Are Generally Non-Refundable
Donations made to Sevagramam Charitable Trust are considered final and non-refundable. By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree that your donation is being made for charitable purposes and is not subject to refund or return.
2. Errors in Processing Donations
While we strive to provide a smooth and seamless donation process, we recognize that errors may occur during online transactions. If you believe that your donation was processed in error or there was a mistake (such as being charged the wrong amount or donating to the wrong fund), please contact us as soon as possible.
Refunds for Errors:
In the case of an incorrect or accidental donation, we may, at our sole discretion, provide a refund. Refund requests must be made within 7 days of the donation being processed. Any request beyond this time frame will generally not be eligible for a refund, as donations are used immediately to support the charitable programs and initiatives of Sevagramam Charitable Trust.
3. How to Request a Refund
If you have made an error in your donation or wish to inquire about a refund, please contact us with the following details:
- Name of the donor
- Donation Amount
- Date of Donation
- Transaction Reference Number (if available)
- Reason for Refund Request
You can contact us at:
Email: contact@sevagramam.org
Phone: 9246290288 / 9866762092
Address: Sevagramam, Narimetta Main Road, Narimetta (Mandal), Jangoan (Dt), Telangana, India.
We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If a refund is issued, it will be processed to the original payment method used for the donation.
4. Payment Gateway Providers and Their Refund Policies
We use third-party payment gateways (e.g., …Pending Payment Gateways) to process donations. Each payment provider has its own refund policies that apply to donations made through their platform. If you are seeking a refund, we will assist you in initiating the process with the relevant payment provider.
Please note that payment gateway providers may have their own terms and conditions regarding refunds. The final decision regarding refunds through payment gateways rests with them, and any fees they may charge are beyond our control.
5. Exceptions to Refund Policy
There may be exceptional circumstances where a refund is issued despite the general policy of non-refundability. These may include:
- Duplicate Donations: If the donor accidentally makes multiple donations for the same transaction, we will review the case and issue a refund for the extra donations.
- Technical Issues: If there was a technical problem that caused an incorrect charge or duplicate donation, we may consider a refund.
- Fraudulent or Unauthorized Transactions: If we detect fraudulent transactions or donations made without the account holder’s consent, we may initiate a refund.
6. Tax Deductions and Receipts
Once your donation is successfully processed, you will receive an email with a donation receipt for tax purposes (where applicable). This receipt will serve as confirmation of your generous contribution.
Please note that a refund will void the receipt and tax deduction associated with that donation, and the donor may be required to return the tax deduction if applicable.
7. Charitable Nature of Donations
As a charitable trust, the funds we receive are used to support our programs and initiatives. Since donations are voluntary and meant to support our mission, we encourage donors to consider their contributions carefully before completing the donation process.
Once a donation has been made, it is used directly to further our charitable purposes and cannot typically be redirected or refunded unless under exceptional circumstances as outlined above.
8. Donor Privacy and Security
We are committed to ensuring the security and privacy of your personal information. All donation information is processed securely through trusted third-party payment gateways, which comply with industry standards for online payments.
For more details about how we protect your information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to the Refund Policy
Sevagramam Charitable Trust reserves the right to update or modify this Refund and Returns Policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
