A place of dignity and care for the elderly who are often forgotten — offering them comfort, respect, and community.

A Spark of Inspiration 1993

In 1993, Mr. Y. Vincent Reddy attended a convention in Chennai where Mother Teresa spoke. Her words, "Whatever you do to the poorest of the poor, is what you do to God," deeply impacted him. This inspired him to dedicate himself to serving the underprivileged, leading to the founding of Sevagramam Charitable Trust, with the mission of fulfilling God's will through service to the needy.

A Personal Transformation

After the convention, Mr. Reddy struggled internally with a growing sense of responsibility toward the underprivileged. He questioned the fairness of living comfortably while so many around him lived in poverty. Eventually, his conscience led him to make a life-changing decision — to leave his job and start a service-based business employing local youth.

A significant portion of the business’s profits was dedicated to supporting destitute homes, marking the beginning of his journey into social service.

Birth of Sevagramam Charitable Trust
2005

What began as a personal mission soon took formal shape. In 2005, Sevagramam Charitable Trust (DCT) was officially established, as a tribute to Mother Teresa and her message of selfless service. The Trust was born with the vision to serve the poorest sections of society, especially in rural areas.

Grounded in Narimetta Village

The Trust set its roots in Narimetta village, located in Warangal District, Telangana. This rural setting became the heart of its mission. The Trust began with a focus on the most vulnerable populations — orphaned children and the elderly — and steadily expanded its outreach.

Boys Home

A safe home for orphaned boys, offering shelter, education, and care.

Home for the Aged

A loving home for the elderly, providing dignity, support, and medical aid.

Fueled by Support and a Spirit to Serve

The Trust’s mission has been sustained through the generous support of well-wishers, local communities, and the continued contribution of profits from Mr. Reddy’s business. Every step has been driven by a deep commitment to serve — a flame first lit by Mother Teresa’s inspiring words.

Guided by Compassion and a Clear Mission

Today, Sevagramam Charitable Trust continues its journey with compassion, love, and dedication. The vision remains unchanged: to uplift the poorest of the poor — not merely through charity, but through a shared sense of humanity and responsibility.
